In this Saturday, June 13, 2020, photo, volunteer Tarek Jabi of Beirut brings food to Ghanaians who once lived in a public park after either losing their jobs or being unable to find work while visiting the United Arab Emirates on so-called visit visas wait to receive aid from volunteers while staying at a labor camp in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The Ghanaians, like many other foreign laborers in the UAE, found themselves trapped in this Arabian Peninsula nation after the coronavirus pandemic shut down global aviation. As work dried up, so did their savings, leading dozens to live for a time at a public park in Dubai. Authorities ultimately put the Ghanaians at a labor camp in an industrial area of Dubai until they secured repatriation flights home.
