In regard to her educational background, Dr. Dickson's undergraduate studies took place at Hope College in Holland, Michigan. There, she studied psychology to better understand the human dynamic before knowing she would eventually pursue an education and career in optometry.

While attending the Michigan College of Optometry, where she graduated with high honors, she took part in a mission trip providing eye exams and glasses to 400 Bulgarian people living in poverty.

Her clinical experience has exposed her to many eye conditions and diseases, treatment protocols, and technology options. Dr. Dickson's philanthropic spirit has brought her across the globe. Her education, while primarily in Michigan, did send her to Largo, Florida, for a few short months where she interned at a full-service eye care clinic and surgical center. When the opportunity arose at Robson Eye Institute in Clearwater, she jumped at the chance to move her family to the warm, southern sun. 

Now, she is in practice with Pearle Vision, where she enjoys treating individuals of all ages and backgrounds. Her current endeavors include specialty contact lens fitting and advanced treatment of dry eye disease, and she plans to grow these areas to include a myopia management clinic and dry eye spa.

With ample experience, Dr. Dickson is an active member of Optometry Divas, the Pinellas Optometric Association, the Florida Optometric Association, and the American Optometric Association.
