Government Service Evaluation of 32 Key Cities across the Country: Qingdao Rated "Very High"

On May 26, a survey and evaluation report (2020) on online government service capabilities of provincial governments and key cities (government service evaluation) was officially released. Among the evaluation of 32 key cities across the country, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Hangzhou, Qingdao, Shenzhen, Ningbo and Hefei were rated as "very high (over 90 points)" in the overall indexes.
The survey assessment is designed to implementing relevant deployment requirements of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, promoting the judging of government service performance by enterprises and the masses, and enhancing regional abilities and level of online government service. The E-government Research Center at the Party School of the Central Committee of C.P.C (National Academy of Governance) was further commissioned by the E-government Office of General Office of the State Council of the People's Republic of China to carry out a third party assessment on the capacity of provincial governments and key cities' online government services in 2019 (government service evaluation). The focus and orientation of the evaluation in 2019 was to improve the level of online government service through the "government service evaluation" system and promote the transformation of government services from government-supply-oriented to people-demand-oriented, with simple examination and approval of superior services to facilitate investment and business development. The evaluation is aimed at provincial government and key cities, which assessed a total of 32 provincial-level units, 32 cities and provincial capitals of provinces (regions and cities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps.
